Surgery

At some point in their life, your pet may need surgery—whether it’s a routine procedure like a spay or neuter or something more urgent or complex. At Loyal Companions, we understand how emotional and stressful that can be. That’s why we’re committed to walking you through every step of the process, answering your questions, and making sure you feel informed and supported.

Our skilled veterinary team and modern facility are fully equipped to perform a wide range of surgical procedures for both dogs and cats, using the safest and most current techniques available.

Your pet’s comfort and well-being are always our top priority. Our Fear Free process is part of every surgical procedure. From the pre-surgical exam to post-operative recovery, your pet will be monitored closely and treated with the same care we would give our own.

What to Expect on Surgery Day

Your pet’s health and safety are our top priorities—especially when surgery is involved. Our surgical suite meets or exceeds all patient care standards set by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), ensuring the highest level of safety and cleanliness.

At drop off, our team will walk you through the procedure, answer your questions, and address any concerns so you feel confident and informed. Before surgery, your pet will receive a thorough pre-surgical exam.

Throughout the surgery, your pet will be in the hands of an experienced veterinary team that takes every precaution to provide safe, compassionate care, including:

  • A complete physical exam prior to anesthesia
  • Strict adherence to AAHA sterility and monitoring protocols
  • A heated surgical table to keep your pet warm and comfortable
  • Use of a ventilator to support safe and steady breathing under anesthesia
  • Continuous monitoring of vitals and administration of IV fluids by a trained technician
  • Post-surgical pain medication
  • Frequent post-op checks by our team to ensure a smooth recovery

You can rest assured that your pet will be cared for with the utmost attention and compassion every step of the way.
