Raised in Southern Illinois, Dr. Jackson discovered his passion for veterinary medicine early in life while caring for a variety of family pets—an experience that laid the foundation for his lifelong dedication to animals.

After three years at Illinois State University, Dr. Jackson was accepted into the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. He then completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, followed by an intensive 3-year surgical residency in Knoxville, TN. In 2002, he relocated to Chicago, and in 2006, became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons after passing a multi-day certification examination.

Dr. Jackson spent over 12 years at Chicago’s largest veterinary specialty center, where he served in key leadership roles including Chief Surgeon, Head of Surgery, and Medical Director. His surgical expertise, combined with his calm demeanor and compassionate approach, gives pet owners confidence and peace of mind when facing complex medical decisions.
