Born and raised in South Florida, a young Dr. Tanya Robinson harbored a unique love for science, particularly chemistry. She graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, envisioning a future in a laboratory setting. Yet, after a few months in a small, windowless lab that lacked excitement, Dr. Robinson decided to venture into the bright sunshine of veterinary medicine. A veterinary clinic in Jacksonville, FL took a chance on her and hired her for a dog-walking position. With unwavering dedication and a thirst for knowledge, she quickly climbed the ranks, earning a veterinary nurse position within just six months.

Dr. Robinson was drawn to the fascinating intersection of science and animal care within the field of veterinary medicine. During those initial months, she discovered her true life’s calling—providing gold-standard medical care to our beloved pets. Dr. Robinson embarked on her journey by attending Ross University in St. Kitts to obtain her veterinary medical degree. Over her 2 ½ years on the island, she rekindled her passion for education and teaching through tutoring her classmates. This foundation fostered a strong sense of community that continues to shine in the relationships she forges to this day.

Following her remarkable achievement of securing a position for clinical rotations at the University of Florida, Dr. Tanya Robinson graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2018. After graduation, she provided vital relief support to numerous hospitals across northeast Florida and coastal Georgia, offering her expertise in both general and emergency practices. Dr. Robinson’s adoration for the bonds between patients and clients, her love for emergency medicine, and her dedication to preventative care were evident in the exceptional care she provided to every patient under her watch. Yet, there was still something missing for her to feel truly fulfilled.

Say one thing for Dr. Tanya Robinson—she is a dream achiever. In 2021, alongside her husband Austin Robinson, she embarked on a daring adventure unlike any they had ever experienced. They sold their home and moved into a pull-behind camper to pursue their dream: the creation of Nassau County’s shining gem, Robinson 24-Hour Veterinary Hospital. After countless hours collaborating with veterinary-specific architects, Dr. Robinson designed a facility that promises to provide a top-of-the-line environment for gold-standard veterinary medical practices, staff development, client education, and a steadfast commitment to building a strong community within the field of veterinary medicine.

Today, Dr. Tanya Robinson, Austin Robinson, and their two dogs, Lola and RJ, look toward the horizon, ushering in the future of Nassau County and the surrounding area. When Dr. Tanya Robinson is involved, the sky is truly the limit.
