Pet Travel Health Certificates

Certified veterinary documentation for international and domestic travel.

Planning to travel with your pet?

Whether you’re heading across state lines or flying overseas, most airlines and destinations require a valid veterinary health certificate. Our clinic provides both domestic and international health certificates to ensure your cat or dog is cleared for safe and legal travel.

Domestic vs. International Health Certificates

Domestic Health Certificates

Traveling within the U.S. typically requires a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI). This document confirms that your pet is healthy and not showing signs of contagious disease. Key details:

  • Must be issued by a licensed veterinarian after a physical exam
  • Usually valid for 10 days
  • Required by many airlines, states, and some hotels
  • We’ll make sure your pet meets all state and airline requirements

International Health Certificates

Traveling internationally is more complex and requires careful planning. Each country has its own import regulations, and incorrect or missing documentation can delay or cancel your trip. We provide:

  • USDA-accredited veterinarians to complete and sign international paperwork
  • Country-specific guidance for vaccines, microchipping, bloodwork, and parasite treatments
  • Coordination with USDA offices for endorsement, when required
  • Support navigating timelines and document submission

Travel regulations can be confusing — but they don’t have to be. Let our experienced team make the process straightforward so you and your pet can focus on the journey ahead.
