Slide Day Camp Evaluations All Day Camp guests require a evaluation prior to participating in Day Camp. This evaluation lets our Pack Leaders know what type of play and socialization are best for each guest and ensures the safety of everyone. It is possible that a dog could be deemed non-compatible if during the evaluation it can’t be in a shared space off-lease with other dogs due to being intact (not spayed or neutered) or because of behavioral concerns including dog-aggression, excessive dominance (mounting), or if a dog is fearful around other dogs. It could also be due to mobility or agility issues, especially in senior dogs who may need physical help or special care (an overly playful pack may not be best for them and one-on-one time may be necessary).

Slide Day Camp Evaluations cont. If your dog passes the evaluation, they are placed in play groups according to size. Day Camp is included with all Lodging stays and requires a evaluation prior to arriving. Please schedule this ahead of your lodging reservation. If your pup prefers a non-social environment, let us know and we will accommodate with private one-on-one play times or resort walks.

Slide Benefits of socializing your pup
  • Teaches your dog how to interact and play with lots of dogs and people in a healthy way without fear or aggression.
  • Socializing your dog promotes confidence, increases their quality of life by having less anxiety and makes your job as a pet parent easier and more enjoyable.
  • Promotes a healthy and happy lifestyle.
  • Have you heard, “a tired dog is a good dog?” Reduce boredom behaviors at home, such as chewing, so you and your pup spend quality time together in the evening.
