Born and raised in Cashmere, I grew up swimming at the local pool, attending Vale Elementary, and exploring the trails and mountains that sparked my love for the outdoors. That same small-town upbringing also nurtured my passion for the arts and a deep connection with animals — a combination that made veterinary medicine the perfect path for me.
I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age, so I hit the ground running — literally. As one of the first Running Start students in the Wenatchee Valley, I earned my Associate of Science degree from Wenatchee Valley College the same year I graduated high school. I went on to Washington State University, graduating in 2001 with a degree in Zoology (emphasis in Veterinary Medicine) and entering the College of Veterinary Medicine as the youngest student in my class. I graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
Over the years, I’ve pursued advanced training to expand the ways I can help my patients feel their best. I’m certified in:
- Veterinary Acupuncture (IVAS, 2011)
- Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy — also known as animal chiropractic (2017)
- Canine Rehabilitation Therapy (Canine Rehabilitation Institute, 2021)
- Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (2023)
I’m also in the process of becoming a Certified Veterinary Dental Practitioner — because healthy teeth are a key part of overall health. At Cashmere Veterinary Clinic, I’m proud that we are the only rehabilitation facility in Central Washington offering regenerative therapies like stem cell therapy and PRP, alongside underwater treadmill, laser, shockwave, and PEMF treatments.
My approach to medicine is integrative — blending the best of conventional and holistic care (like acupuncture and herbal medicine) to provide the most natural, effective, and individualized treatment for each animal.
Outside the clinic, I’m happiest with a cello in my hands, playing with the Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra or in local musical productions. In the winter, you’ll find me snowboarding with my family at Mission Ridge, Ski Hill, or even making the trek to Stevens Pass.
I’m a proud member of the AVMA, AHVMA, IVAS, AAVA, and the College of Animal Chiropractors, and was honored to be named the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society’s Humanitarian of the Year in 2019. Whether I’m on the slopes, on stage, or in the exam room, my goal is the same — to bring skill, compassion, and joy to everything I do.
