Bear's Buddies Animal Foundation is more than just a non-profit companion animal sanctuary startup - it's a lifeline for rescued dogs, cats, and other animals in the Vancouver Island region. Under the leadership of veterinarian Dr. Kimberly Atkinson and seasoned security specialist Mr. Keith Spinks, our sanctuary is dedicated to providing top-notch medical care and end-of-life services for animals that have been through unimaginable hardships. What sets Bear's Buddies apart is our unwavering commitment to animals that often get overlooked.

Our initial goal is to intake 100-120 animals, but that is just the beginning. We have secured a 22-acre property that works amazingly for us now and allows for future expansion, ensuring that we can continue to make an even greater impact on the lives of animals in need.

But we're not stopping there. Bear's Buddies is embracing technology to streamline and enhance our operations. From cutting-edge shelter management software to advanced security cameras and radios, we utilize the best tools available to ensure our organization runs like a well-oiled machine.
