Key Responsibilities
Duties will depend on experience level and training but may include:
Clinician, Inventory, and Restocking
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
- Follow cleanliness and infection control protocols
- Ensure exam rooms, treatment and procedure areas are stocked and reset between uses
- Monitor and restock inventory and medical supplies throughout the hospital
Exam & Treatment Support
- Assist in wellness and technician appointments
- Perform vitals evaluations, blood pressure checks, and nail trims on compliant animals
- Participate in low-stress patient handling and restraint
- Administer vaccines, medications, and Sub-Q fluids with guidance/supervision of additional staff (senior technical staff and/or veterinarians)
Laboratory Skills
- Prepare and analyze in-house blood, urine, and fecal samples
- Prepare lab samples to send to reference laboratories
- Operate and maintain in house lab equipment
- Support in house microscopy and bacterial culture testing
Digital Imaging
- Assist with patient prep, positioning, and image generation for X-ray and ultrasound
- Ensure imaging safety (PPE use)
Procedure Support – Dental, Surgical & Rehab
- Prepare dental and surgical suites and associated instruments
- Assist with surgical documentation and patient recovery
- Support underwater treadmill and conditioning therapies
Client Interaction & Administration
- Schedule appointments and follow-ups via phone calls or in person
- Obtain patient histories and provide client education at the direction of senior technical staff and/or veterinarians
- Prepare routine estimates and discharge instructions
- Participate in inventory management and CSR cross-training

Qualifications
Entry-level Assistant candidates
- Strong desire to work in the veterinary industry
- Ability to learn routine veterinary protocols and patient care techniques
- Interest in animal behavior and preventative health
Technician-level candidates
- Comfort with routine exam and treatment protocols
- Understanding of advanced support procedures
- Experience with lab, imaging, and surgical prep
- Comfort with differing communication styles
- Prior use of practice management software
- Prior experience with rehab equipment (including underwater treadmill) is highly desired

Schedule & Benefits
- Full-Time; 36-40 hrs/wk
- Hospital Hours: M–F 8am–6pm, Saturdays 9am–1pm
