Aspire Veterinary Hospital is hiring experienced veterinary professionals across three advancing levels of technical excellence: Technician III-A, Technician III-B, and Technician IV-B. Veterinary Technicians at these levels are responsible for supporting a wide range of clinical services including routine and complex exams, diagnostics, rehabilitation, surgical preparation and recovery, and working K9 cases. Candidates in these roles are expected to have a strong command of foundational and advanced skills in their respective domains and will be entrusted with patient care responsibilities requiring minimal supervision. Technicians at Aspire Vet play a central role in patient safety, case management, and client communication—supporting both the veterinary team and the overall flow of hospital operations.

Career Pathways & Key Responsibilities
Technician Level III-A: Advanced Unregistered Technician
Experienced technician with proficiency equivalent to RVT credentialing.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced treatment, imaging, lab, and surgical protocols with minimal supervision
- Mentor junior technicians in real-time during complex cases
- Support working dog wellness, conditioning sessions, and post-procedure care
- Contribute to advanced client communication
- Maintain strict compliance with SOPs, safety protocols, and applicable laws
- Collaborate with leadership on improving workflows and training protocols
- Actively pursue credentialing or further specialization
Technician Level III-B: Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Registered veterinary technician in Maryland performing advanced clinical tasks, including those restricted to credentialed individuals.
Key Responsibilities

- Legally perform credential-restricted tasks (e.g., anesthesia induction, dental prophylaxis, drug administration)
- Serve as lead support on specialty cases involving surgery, imaging, and rehab
- Guide credentialing candidates in exam prep and clinical readiness

Technician Level IV-B: Specialty Credentialed Technician
Credentialed veterinary technician holding a recognized specialty certification (e.g., CCRP, VTS) with a focus on advanced rehab, surgical, or working dog care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead specialty treatments including underwater treadmill sessions, strength training, and advanced conditioning
- Partner with DVMs to develop protocols and care plans for specialty cases
- Take the lead on complex surgical workflows (monitoring, recovery, preparation)
- Train other technicians in rehab, surgical, or specialty protocols
- Provide wellness and sick support for working dogs, including certifications
- Serve as a key contributor in Aspire Vet’s specialty service development and mentorship culture
