What to expect before, during, and after an exam at All About Cats Veterinary Hospital.

A little preparation helps make your visit smoother. Before your appointment:
- Complete our online Welcome Form and our Cat Care Summary Form.
- Bring a fresh stool sample from your cat’s litter box, collected as close to the appointment time as possible (refrigerate if needed).
- Bring any medical records from previous veterinarians.
- If your cat is hard to transport, check our tips for getting them into their carrier, or call us for advice. We can even recommend calming supplements or medications if necessary.
- Review our life stage information to get an idea of what care your cat may need at their age.
During
How long the appointment takes depends on the reason for your visit. Here’s what typically happens:
- Check-in and review of your paperwork and records
- Weight and temperature check (using an ear thermometer)
